When Is It Time To Change Schools?

Buckeye Community School welcomes students all year long.

The new school year is approaching fast and it’s decision time - where will you attend high school? Whether you are trying to find a better fit or wanting a fresh start after dropping out, Buckeye Community School (BCS) is a great option. Our first day of school is Tuesday, September 7, but we also enroll students all year long and are here for you whenever you need us.

There are a lot of reasons that traditional high school might not work for you - if that’s true for you, it’s time to consider something different. Our students come from every type of situation imaginable, and we find a way to work through it. One of the smartest things you can do is find a school that works for you and with you.

If you are looking for help to get through high school, BCS is for you. We are a dropout prevention credit recovery high school located in Mid-Ohio. Making sure you have all the support and customized options you need to earn your diploma is our priority. Our alternative approach is individualized learning based on each student’s unique needs and interests.

It may feel strange or scary to change schools, but we are here to make it a great experience. If what you’re doing now just isn’t working and has you questioning your path through high school, please give us a call. We believe in you and know we can help you reach your goals.

Your Schedule, Your Way

You know what works for you. Have you checked out our personalized schedules that design your school work around your schedule? We have flexible hours which means we stay open late and you decide how and when to be at school. At BCS, we create systems of support and accountability that don’t exist anywhere else. If you have other responsibilities, limited time, or a specific situation that arises, we can work it out. Life throws curve balls at everyone and we are here to help you figure out the best path forward for you.

We get to know you and how you learn best. We meet 1:1 from day one and support you the entire time until your graduation goals are met. Even if you move, you can stay enrolled at Buckeye. Your life may feel chaotic, but your education and the support you receive from your teachers is a constant at BCS.

We’re a Community

Everyone needs help in life and coming together is more than what makes life good - it’s what makes us human. We have three BCS locations to make it easy for you to attend in person, and we love to share stories from our teachers and support staff at every location. Find the best fit for you in Mansfield, Marion, or London. Visit our Free Produce Market during the summer in all three communities and stay for a free lunch.

We care about building great connections and creating the relationships with you that you need to thrive. As a student at BCS, you will have opportunities to get involved in the community, get a head start with tuition-free dual enrollment college courses, create your own path to graduation, and much more.

Forget the past, start fresh now. Our goal is to reduce your stress and find a workable path forward to your success. We can accelerate your progress, and get you back on track. Here’s how to find us:
