About Us
Buckeye Community School came into being when a group of passionate educators decided to create a school where kids who were not being served well by traditional high schools could find a way to earn a high school diploma, therefore setting them up for future success. BCS serves students ages 14-21 in mid- and central-Ohio, with locations in Fremont, London, Mansfield, Marion, and Springfield.
Buckeye Community School is a public high school with an alternative learning environment - what that really means is we are innovative, creative and compassionate about getting kids through high school!
We offer an alternative approach to traditional high school that is individualized based on each student’s unique needs and interests. Students work at their own pace, choose their own path to graduation, and can work around their schedule. We provide opportunities for students to prepare for future careers, college, and training programs while earning their diploma.

Title IX

Any person may report sex discrimination, including sexual harassment (whether or not the person reporting is the person alleged to be the victim of conduct that could constitute sex discrimination or sexual harassment), in person, by mail, by telephone, or by electronic mail, using the contact information listed for the Title IX Coordinator, or by any other means that results in the Title IX Coordinator receiving the person’s verbal or written report. Such a report may be made at any time (including during non-business hours) by using the telephone number or electronic mail address, or by mail to the office address, listed for the Title IX Coordinator.
Inquiries about the application of Title IX and its regulations to the School may be referred to the Title IX Coordinator, to the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights of the Department, or both.
