Grants and Awards

Buckeye Community School is a proud recipient of the following grants and awards.

21st Century Grant

This program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.

Innovative Workforce Incentive Grant Program

To advance the workforce priorities in our state, Ohio law has created the Innovative Workforce Incentive Program. The program promotes high school students earning industry recognized credentials in priority industry sectors. These incentive dollars will be paid to a school or school district per earned credential from the Innovative Workforce Incentive Program list. If a student attends more than one school district, the incentive dollars will be paid to the school district that paid for the cost of the eligible credential.

Equity for Each Grant

A primary focus of the Ohio Perkins V State Plan is improving access, enrollment, engagement and performance for all students, with an intentional focus on students in special populations and subgroups. To support the educational community in ensuring students have meaningful access and are engaged in high-quality career-technical education programs, the Ohio Department of Education, Office of Career-Technical Education has made ensuring an equitable education for each student a priority.

Disadvantaged Pupil Impact Aid and Student Wellness and Success Funds Plan

Ohio’s districts and schools receive Disadvantaged Pupil Impact Aid and Student Wellness and Success Funds to fund initiatives that support wraparound services for Ohio’s students.
