BCS Food Programs

Buckeye Community School is a student-centered, tuition-free public high school that believes in serving the whole student so they can be successful in school, life, and career. We care deeply about our students and our community and finding ways to serve both.

Under the direction of Winnie Brewer, our Nutrition Services Director, we provide several food programs that benefit our students and the community.

Lunch is Served

We serve all BCS students at Fremont, Mansfield, Marion, and London with free lunches in our cafe every day.

Throughout the summer, shelf stable meals are available at all school locations for any student that wishes to pick up food. Weekly meal kits containing seven breakfasts and seven lunches will be provided to Buckeye Community Schools through a grant with Children’s Hunger Alliance. Students can pick up their meals during the hours that school is open.

Buckeye Food Pantry

We are also planning to open the Buckeye Food Pantry to serve both students and the community. Our food pantry will be managed by Winnie Brewer and is in partnership with the Mid-Ohio Food Collective, several local businesses, and private donors.
